My name is Cara and I'm currently living and creating in Kansas City, Missouri. I graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2004 with a degree in Ceramics and Art History. I live with a my great boyfriend who is also an artist and writer, and a fluffy kitty, Ginger. She enjoys hanging out with me in the new studio and staring out the window at the birds that settle on the roof.
I take a great deal of pride in the craftsmanship of my jewelry. You will always see other artists creating porcelain/ceramic jewelry, but I hope you will find that my craftsmanship is unparalleled. Yes, each pair of earrings started out as a pudgy ball of wet white porcelain then was squished around and shaped ... painstakingly hand-painted ... fired in the kiln multiple times ... and strung up on my own custom sterling silver earwires ... to finally become beautiful art for your ears!
